Christmas garland

Today I would like to tell you about the decoration - a hand-made garland. Her jewelry is made in the style of quilling, by twisting and gluing paper. However, in the process of its manufacture, we did not use special paper, but took an assistant, but the most suitable one. This could be, for example, satin colored paper sold in Ikea stores, or colored paper for printers. Having taken its place in the room, this garland will give it a cheerful, festive look.

To make such a decoration, we need:
1) Color paper, the most suitable for quilling.
2) Scissors, glue;
3) Tweezers, scotch tape;
4) The handle bar.
To make such an ornament

First we will make a blue snowflake. Cut paper into strips for it and, if you wish, using a rod, twist the circles in a spiral. We make five such figures:
Now we twist

Now twist the same number of other figures, called "horns". Here are these:
do five of these

The strip lying next to the "horns" in the photo, glue, folding in two. And we make five of the same strips. Spiral circles are folded into oblong diamonds and glue together all the figures, oppressing them with thin tweezers. We get this figure:
We cut

We cut for it new strips of paper:

We make five special figures of them, called "oak leaf": we fold each strip five times, and glue together their tips as shown in the photo below:

Using a needle, reveal the figure:

Next, we make five tight round figures and five figures in the form of drops, then glue them to the snowflake. This will have to be such a figure:

And then the snowflake can be supplemented with new patterns. We have such a figure:

Now we make a flower. Cut the colored stripes:

Twisting and gluing them together, we form seven tight round figures and six large ones, after which we glue them together. This is the finished halo of the flower:

Twisting a long strip of green color with a rod, we form a small stalk for our flower, and on the sides to it we glue leaf figurines. We attach the resulting stalk to the corolla of the flower and our little flower is ready:

Now we will make a yellow butterfly. First, we cut out two strips of black colored paper and twist them in a spiral with a rod, sizing in some sections along the length of the inner side each strip so that the curl keeps tight:

Now we glue them together and glue the antennae:

Then we make wings from strips of yellow paper, that is, so far only their "walls" that can be filled with beautiful patterned figures.

The first decoration of the wings became the figures, called "oak leaf", which we did, making a snowflake. After them we glue small round curls to the lower sides of the wings and make double figures from the patterns of white and yellow paper, and then glue them:

Twist the two yellow and two white strips of paper in a spiral and glue them together. We give the yellow round curls a droplet shape and glue the large wings on the underside, and the white curls on the upper side:

Next, glue two small yellow curls to the uppermost sides of the wings and prepare eight others, incomplete, and of different sizes:

We glue them upward, to the same yellow curls and, to keep each pattern, it should be glued to a figure that is close to it (the size and length of the curls are calculated in advance). Then we roll ten white, tightly sized balls in order to decorate the underside of the wings, and also glue them:

For all the time working with the butterfly figure, we have many times corrected the length of the walls of the wings, which was constantly changing when they added more and more new patterns. For the upper sides we roll sixteen taut curls and, gluing them together, we attach to the wings; after that we make a leg, - we roll a strip of black paper and glue it:

That's all - our butterfly figure is ready. Now you can create two snowflakes, a red flower, a brown butterfly, a green figure and an orange flower using the same technique:

Having created nine figures, we finish the work on the decorations and begin the work on the garland that will hold them. Figures can be either tied with threads to it, or glued with scotch tape. Take a small sheet of paper in A 4 format, bend it across and glue the transverse ends:

Bend the sheet to four times:

Draw two lines along the top and bottom, with a small indentation:

Now draw the transverse lines, leaving the same distance between them. They must take turns to pass through the upper, then through the lower lines, going along:

We erase the whole drawing, leaving barely noticeable marks and cut them with scissors along the transverse contours, firstly on one side:

And then on the other:

Lay out the sheet:

Now, using a long thin brush (or knitting needle), open the sheet and give it a rounded shape of a tube:

We make the second the same tube:

We glue them together with scotch tape and, stretching out, glue the garland in a prominent place:

We attach to it all our decorations and everything - our Christmas decoration is ready:
