Darling, I will give you this ... no, not a star, to a chandelier! We collect, fasten to the ceiling and connect!

  • March 6, 2013 15:26

I can get a chandelier as a gift from my husband. But even with such an instruction, neither he nor I will collect it. And anyway, I want to receive something for myself as a gift. A chandelier is for everyone who lives with me in the house. I do not like such interesting gifts.

  • Teymour March 6, 2013 17:15

Collecting and connecting chandeliers, and of course repairing them, this is my favorite activity. Among my friends, there are few with electricity on “You”, so I have a lot of practical experience in repairing lighting fixtures! =)

  • Alexander Borisov March 6, 2013 18:59

The other day, he himself hung the chandelier of his mother in an apartment for 5 light bulbs. At first I thought pipets, how many wires, then I looked at the scheme on the Internet and voila. =) Not everything is so difficult!

  • Ksenia March 6, 2013 19:03

=) Very interesting is written and your advice is just the way! We bought a new chandelier and did not hang it, our hands do not reach. After the article I will already understand how to better organize the work.

  • Elena 7-Mar-Mar 2013 16:43

Once I also hung a chandelier, it was already assembled, it remained only to connect, of course, I fiddled with it a little. All the same, men must be engaged in this business, it is not so pleasant to hang on the chandelier! =) Thanks for a very useful article!

  • March 9, 2013 1:29

I was lucky. My father-in-law and friends are electricians. They help me.

  • Tatyana March 10, 2013 8:39

Thanks for the article, Vladislav. Everything is described in great detail. I will transfer your instructions to the male half of our family, let them study and beautifully hang chandeliers.

  • Lyudmila March 10, 2013 16:06

With such an explanation of the assembly of the chandelier, now a woman can assemble it if there is no man in the house.

  • Svetlana March 11, 2013 5:16

It's great that you wrote such a detailed instruction. My husband and I somehow had to hang a chandelier, so we rummaged through the entire Internet to figure out how to do it!

  • Elena March 11, 2013 11:53

My dad was an electrician and with electricity I was always on you. To hang a chandelier in the house my husband always trusted me)))) * OK *

  • Alexander March 13, 2013 4:47

I presented the chandelier, but I had to mount it to the ceiling myself.

  • Natalia March 13, 2013 4:49

It is not enough to pick up a beautiful chandelier, you also need to attach it where necessary. But this is a question already to the spouse.

  • Vladimir March 31, 2013 23:29

Just in time, your advice on installing the chandelier came in handy, Thank you.

  • lyudmila April 5, 2013 9:59

Hello Vladislav! Here I am again with you. I need advice, the problem is not with the chandelier, but with the lamp that is attached to the wall. It hangs somewhere for a year and everything was fine and suddenly there is no contact and no light, and everything is in order with both the wiring and the chandelier, and when connected there is no light. What to do? It is a pity to throw it away so it approaches the interior.

    • Ponomarev Vladislav April 5, 2013 16:07

Lyudmila, hello. If you have checked the wiring accurately: the phase and zero are on the wires suitable to the luminaire, then the whole problem is only in the cartridge (the element in which is screwed into the bulb) or in the wiring of the lamp itself. But you do not need to throw out the lamp unambiguously. It must be removed, checked and repaired. If you do not screw in bulbs of greater power than recommended on the lamp and do not melt the wires, then most likely it is a cartridge - there is no contact in it. They are sold in stores, just need to take a sample of the old if you do not know the labeling. You change the cartridge and everything should work.

I was lucky, I bought this chandelier in OBI

  • OLGA May 31, 2013 13:05

Otlichnenko, today bought a lamp in the kitchen, I will podkjuchat itself thanks to you))

  • Cool fisherman July 20, 2013 12:58

Thank you, just today your article came in handy, although the chandelier was already assembled (I didn’t have to mess with the assembly), but to hang up and connect it is already a matter of technology))) But thanks anyway !!!

  • Alexandra August 13, 2013 12:25 pm

And we have changed in the process of repairing the wiring. Now one wire sticks out of the ceiling, however, three-core, each lived in its own insulation. Is it possible to put it on separate and connect as indicated?

  • August 18, 2013 12:35 pm

Many thanks, it turned out, now I can not burn all 4 lamps, and the choice, 2 or 4. Particularly helped by the phrase that zero will always be a common wire. Thanks again.

  • Elena August 20, 2013 22:04

Well, if presented, so let it connects! And if there are difficulties with the connection, then your advice will be very useful. Thank you.

  • Dmitriy September 3rd, 2013 17:25

It is very inconvenient to fasten everything to the ceiling. If this is a long time to do, then your hands are very tired.

  • Alexey September 22, 2013 2:17

Vladislav, thanks for the article. Today I bought the same chandelier. The question is: where did you connect the blue (optional) wire? After all, the ground wire, which is attached to the hollow screw and the other to the terminal block, goes to the top plate.Where to connect the zero blue wire?

  • Olga September 24th, 2013 8:40 pm

Good day. Many thanks for the article. Chandelier lay somewhere for six months. When buying, everything was so easy to explain and showed that I decided to “easily assemble”, but at home they turned it around, twisted it and set it aside. Today we found your hints and coped quickly and easily. Spasibki.

Dear Vladislav! There is a question. A five-hinged chandelier (which I received as a gift and designed for a double-key switch), I connected to a single-key switch. All five lamps turned on, but the intensity of the lamps became much weaker. The wiring in the ceiling is three-core: phase, ground (green-yellow), and zero. In the process of connection (by the "poke" method), the automatic machine operated, cutting down the entire electrical system in the apartment. Now the chandelier is slightly on fire, but the feeling that it can be dangerous does not leave. Is it so? Thank you in advance. Regards, Yuri.

    • Ponomarev Vladislav May 19, 2014 1:41 PM

Yuri, definitely that you connected it wrong. All bulbs should be lit in full heat, evenly and not turn off. Automatic short circuit should not work. Find the "phase" and "zero" in the three wires coming out of the ceiling.Try to connect the lamp holder to them without the chandelier first. The lamp should be lit in full heat, if everything is correct. Then, depending on what color of wire you have in the chandelier, for example, all blue ones - connect to the “phase”, and then all the green ones from all horns - to “zero”. Do not confuse with the ground - yellow-green. Good luck.

  • Catherine December 20, 2014 14:23

Thank you, the article was very useful, I hung the chandelier myself. Everything turned out.

  • Alexander February 13, 2015 1:10

Vladislav, a small remarka.Ne it is not considered that the phase wire does not always pass through the switches. Especially in the wiring of the structures of old buildings, where wires of the "noodle" type were laid. AAPP-2x2.5, APPV-3x2.5, etc., “As it is necessary”)), so it would not hurt at first to clarify that determination is necessary — which wires are controlled by a switch.)

  • softus February 17, 2015 23:00

Excellent! All at once it became clear. Thanks to the author of the post.

  • Konstantin October 10, 2016 11:00

Is it possible to connect five horns to two-core wiring to include in groups

  • Gregory March 14, 2017 10:51

Tell me. There are three wires on the ceiling, two connected (as I understand the phase and zero), the third is just bent, without any insulation. Now connected to the usual cartridge with a light bulb, a switch for two keys. I'm going to hang a chandelier to turn on one key.
