How supporters of Navalny in Moscow went on strike
Rallies in support of a strike of voters were held throughout the country today. Alexey Navalny called on his supporters to take to the streets and campaign for a boycott of the March presidential election. Shares took place in about a hundred cities. The Ministry of Internal Affairs counted about 4.7 thousand people, while the Human Rights Council announced more than five thousand participants excluding Peter and Moscow. According to OVD-Info, a total of about 250 people were detained during the actions in support of the strike.
There were no mass detentions in Moscow. Svinyti Navalny himself, also in the morning were detained by the staff of his headquarters. But nobody touched the striking people. This is the second mass protest, where the police screw nobody, and this is its main result.
In the Kremlin, it seems, someone smart appeared, who explained that if one does not screw anyone in lawlessness, then the sky will not fall to the ground. And this is the main media victory of the authorities. If there are no photos, where the cosmonauts beat with batons of children, if there are no data on thousands of detainees, if then there are no ships and deadlines, then tomorrow the whole city will not talk about the event. The first rule of journalism says: no picture - no event. Today there was no picture.
In Moscow this time a new gathering place appeared - Triumfalnaya Square. Although it was possible to come to any point of Tverskaya, many were agitating precisely for collecting near the monument to Mayakovsky.
From Triumphal smells limonovschinoy. It was here that a few years ago, on the 31st, his supporters gathered to protest against the violation of Article 31 of the Constitution. The association is not very good, especially considering what Limonov finished.
The future has come, the journalists began to work on the hoverboard.
At some point, Stalin appeared on the Triumph. More precisely, the journalist of the TV channel "Rain" in the suit of Stalin. Other journalists of the TV channel “Rain” started interviewing their colleague. To be honest, I do not really understand what a similar performance was arranged for. Taking a live interview with your colleague at a protest rally is quite the bottom. But let's leave it on the conscience of the people who invented it.
People on the Triumphal gathered not very much.I think at the peak there were several hundred supporters of Navalny, as many more journalists. The police asked to disperse and not hinder the passage of citizens.
People came with balloons.
As for the number, it is difficult for me to give a clear assessment. I remember past actions, and it seemed to me that there were several times fewer people than before.
After the Triumphal people went for a walk around Tverskaya.
Another part of the people gathered on Pushkin Square around the monument. Again, if it was very crowded in front of the monument, then there were no more people. Previously, the entire square was filled up, where the Pyramid was, as well as the square in front of the cinema.

At about 14:00, Alexei Navalny, who was hiding from the police, left for Tverskaya. But after a few minutes the police detained him, put him in a paddy wagon, and immediately brought him to the police station. Now Navalny is charged with article 20.2 of the CAO RF (“Violation of the established procedure for organizing or holding a meeting, rally, demonstration, procession or picketing”).

People on Pushkin.
The people chanted standard chants from “Strike” to “Putin - fucked up.” The police did not interfere.Although abusive chants did not use support. “And we will not be detained for a mate in a public place?” The women carefully asked.
Supporters of Navalny distributed leaflets and posters to everyone.
At some point, they began to storm the pillars! The most active began to climb the lanterns around the monument to Pushkin. The police still didn’t react. After about 20 minutes, the pillar attack aircraft froze and set free.
For another hour the people froze on Pushkin Square and then set off towards Red Square.
All the passages to Manezhnaya Square were blocked and cordoned off, so people turned around and went for a walk along Mokhovaya Street. The police still did not touch anyone.
In the end, the protesters reached the Arbat, met Vladimir Zhirinovsky on the way and listened to his thoughts about street actions.
The protesters did not have a special plan of action, so they simply walked along the street and shouted familiar slogans. They were accompanied by several cars DPS, avtozakov and the police were not particularly.
Near the Duma.
I would not like to argue about the turnout, as this is not really the main thing. The main thing is whether the goals are achieved. This is still a problem.
Without leaders, the people did not really understand what to do.That is, it’s cool to walk, but someone has to steer by the people, say where to go, what to do, take responsibility. It would be easier if the crowd had an enemy in the form of the police, but as I said, the police did not interfere in what was happening, and the people were frankly perplexed.
At some point, the crowd decided to go to Manezhka, descending Tverskaya. But in the end people rested against the police cordons - Manezh was blocked. Ok, we went along Mokhovaya in the direction of the Library to them. Lenin.
The crowd spread across the pavement, passers-by pressed into the walls.
At the intersection with Nikitskaya street people decided to cross the road. It was an affordable protest!
Again, the police simply watched and through megaphones offered to be careful and not to endanger their lives.
People ran there and there, blocking the movement. No one interfered.
The problem was that Manezhnaya was blocked, and the protesters were not ready to storm the police cordons.
In the end, everything turned into a confrontation with the GAI officers who tried to return the crowd to the sidewalks.
Then they decided to go to the Arbat. In general, the biggest problem is impunity. The fact that no one stopped the crowd was the biggest problem. Before that, everything ended simply - the police were scattering everybody around the wagons. And now they didn’t pay attention to the strikers.
A crowd of 500 people walked to New Arbat. They were accompanied by several cars DPS and all.
Passed on New Arbat.
Switched to the other side.
The most impudent act was a lit fire. But no one paid any attention to him.
Then it was decided to make an even more audacious action - to tear down the poster with the advertisement of choices! It was bold and brave!
Journalists got at least some picture.
At some point, the column decided to go to the White House. Nobody began to hinder them, so they quickly reached the place and, without meeting any resistance, went for a walk on. By that time, the leaders of “Navalny LIVE” have already reported that all the protesters with a sense of accomplishment of duty can go home. At this today's protest in Moscow could be considered complete.
Very good that no one was detained.
