# How to install air conditioner

Where to begin? Before buying a split system (air conditioner), you need to find out what area to cool (heat), it will cover. To do this, you can make a simple calculation. If the area of the room where you want to install air conditioning (hereinafter referred to as the split system) is no more than 20 square meters, then you can buy a split system of the seventh model. If the area of cooling is 21 to 27 square meters, then you need to buy a split system of the ninth model (for installers and managers this is called a nine or seven, respectively). So, when choosing a split system, as you already understood, you need to calculate how much space it will cool, divide it into three, and then it will become clear to you which model of the split-system you need to buy. For example, you need to cool (warm) the room area of 36 square meters: divide this area by three and get the number of the desired split system, and in the example it will be the 12th. But the installation of the 12th model and above, we will tell you next time.

Let us proceed to the description of the installation process of the split system of the 7th model, which is designed for a cooling area of 21 square meters. So, you visited the store, chose a 7th model split system for installation, paid for the purchase, and now the split system is in your home. If for the first time you decided to install a split system and called the masters for this, then this is what you should know. First, before starting work, installers (installers) in your presence should open the package, if you have not done this when you have delivered it, and conduct a visual inspection of the external and internal units for the integrity of the enclosures. If the external inspection showed that there are no defects, then it is possible to start work on installing the split system. But if suddenly you notice that in one of the blocks there is a dent, a scratch or, for example, a crack in the body, then immediately demand the exchange of goods. Installing a split system with any mechanical defects is prohibited.

The team of installers consists of two people. After opening the box with the inner block using a tape measure, the installer must measure the distance from the bar on which the split system will be fixed to the plastic wall of the housing. These measurements are taken into account when applying the markup to the wall where the split system is installed using a level. It is also worth noting that after applying the markup in places where the plank is attached to the wall, the place where the hole will be drilled is outlined from the edge of the split system using a level at a slight angle and it must be below the edge of the split body system. This is done so that the water that forms when the evaporator is working flows by gravity through the drainage pipe to the street. The hole is also drilled at a small angle, if the installers do not fulfill this requirement, then the water from the split system will not drain independently and will begin to flow onto the wall in the place where the split system is installed.

While one installer is engaged in marking, the second installer determines how and with what amount of wires the internal and external units will be connected. If there are difficulties with this (lack of experience), then the installer can see this in the installation instructions. In this case, one triple and one double wire are enough for installation. It also determines the diameter of the pipes with which the blocks are connected, and through which the refrigerant will circulate.By the way, almost all modern models of split-systems are already filled and are used for freon 410 operation. Therefore, the installer, after connecting the wires, starts rolling and joining the nuts of the inter-unit pipes. It is important to remember which wires connect to which terminals, since they will also be connected to the outdoor unit. After carrying out works on joining and rolling, the installer pumps a special flex on the pipes in order to improve the insulation, and wraps it with adhesive tape. This will avoid the appearance of condensate on the interconnection route.

After marking the wall by fastening the plate, installer number 2 starts drilling the hole, at this time assembler No. 1 outside the place where the hole will go out ensures that the fragments of the wall do not fall on people or parked cars. And now, the hole is ready, the stones are caught, the bar is installed, the installer begins to fix the brackets, the photo shows that we may need it. Since in our case we fasten the brackets to the wall of the balcony, we use short anchor-nails, a 12-diameter drill bit, a perforator, a hammer and a nozzle for tightening the anchors.Usually on the balconies the holes for the anchors are through, therefore it is better to immediately warn the owners of the object where the work is being done. Secure the brackets, install them on the outdoor unit and fasten it. In the drilled hole (the diameter of the drill must be at least 32 mm), we pass the insulated inter-block route. Then we hang the indoor unit on the bar fixed to the wall and carry out work on connecting the track and the outdoor split system. After the installer has connected the pipes between the internal and external units, we connect the vacuum compressor and produce vacuum for at least ten minutes, especially for inverter split systems. Then we connect the wires and fix the drainage tube. Only after all this work is done, the installer can start a split-system for cold or heat, depending on the conditions, to test the performance of the split-system.
