How to record video from webcam
Using Virtual Dub
To do this, we will use a program called “VirtualDub”, because it:
- It has the function of “trimming” and “gluing together” video files (so that you can not only shoot video on a web camera, but also edit the field;
- can convert and encode finished or recorded video to almost any format;
- has the ability to work with multiple audio or video tracks simultaneously;
- completely free and officially Russified.
So, download, and run the program (it does not require installation). In the main window of the program, look for the “File” menu, and select the “Remove in Avi” command. After that, the appearance of the main working window of the program will change slightly, and everything that falls into the viewing angle of your webcam will be displayed on it. But it’s too early to make a video on a webcam.
First, let's set a place to save the default video files to any folder on the D: drive (by default, Virtual Dub saves files to system C drive).
