On Monday, the Moscow City Court issued a verdict in a criminal case initiated against the former law enforcement officers - employees of a separate company of the patrol and inspection service of the OMVD police in the Danilovsky district of Moscow.
They were convicted of murdering a woman. As previously reported, the victim entered into an intimate relationship with police officers when she rested with them in the sauna. The woman allegedly remained displeased with the cruelty of her partner and threatened with a police criminal case.

The 30-year-old ex-police officer Vitaly Tolpeko will spend 16.5 years behind bars, and his 24-year-old colleague Dmitry Tomilin will spend 16 years. They will serve their sentences in a strict regime penal colony, the official website of the Moscow prosecutor's office reports.
In addition, the court partially upheld the civil lawsuit of the mother of the deceased for non-pecuniary damage in the amount of three million rubles from each of the convicts.
It was established that on August 8, 2015, Tolpeko and Tomilin, who were employees of the ORP of the OMVD in the Danilovsky District, were in a state of intoxication during their free time.
At Avtozavodskaya Street in the NEP Restaurant, they met 34-year-old Muscovite Darya Zagumennaya, who was also drunk. Patrolmen introduced themselves to the woman as officers of the criminal investigation department. Daria danced with one of the cops.

Then the men invited a new acquaintance to the sauna, where a drunken trio went by car Tolpeko. There they "spent their leisure time drinking alcohol." However, “a quarrel arose during the joint pastime,” the prosecutor’s office reports, without specifying the details of the situation.
Meanwhile, the press previously wrote that in the bath Daria and Vitaly, who was married and raised two children, had sexual intercourse. As Tomilin later claimed, his co-worker during sex had hit his partner hard, which greatly offended her. Daria threatened to file law enforcement with law enforcement officers, accusing them of rape. Fear of a career crash and criminal punishment was the motive for the murder.
“Fearing that the woman might later complain about them and create problems in her professional and family life, Tolpeko and Tomilin decided to kill her,” the press release said.
Taking advantage of the fact that the woman was in a state of strong alcoholic intoxication, the accomplices took her to the territory of the garage-building cooperative "Zheleznodorozhnik" on Avtozavodskaya Street, located "at a considerable distance from residential buildings and public places."
There, the attackers dragged the victim out of the car and shot her with a traumatic pistol belonging to Tolpeko’s firearm of a limited defeat. And the weapon was equipped with "six standard pistol cartridges."
After the execution, the victim was still alive and begged to let her go, but Tolpeko finished off her sexual partner with a mount, having inflicted at least four blows to the victim on the right side of the head.

To hide the traces of the murder, the criminals moved the corpse and threw it headfirst down to the bottom of a technical well. They also fell asleep and covered traces of blood in the territory of the SSC, collected the spent cartridges, which, together with the bag of the victim, were thrown into a garbage container in the area of Kolomna Passage.
The police owned a woman’s mobile phone into the river under the support of Avtozavodsky Bridge.
Daria’s friends spent six weeks searching for her, calling all hospitals and morgues. After receiving information about the active search for the missing woman, the police decided to hide the body. They purchased a respirator, two packages for corpses, a metal crowbar. On August 18, 2015, the attackers removed the body from a well and took it to the territory of the Stupinsky District of the Moscow Region, where they buried it in a 1.5-meter deep hole on the territory of the abandoned Mercury boarding house.
September 25, 2015 suspects were detained. Tolpeko and Tomilina found guilty under paragraph "g" Part 2 of Art. 105 ("Murder committed by a group of persons") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Tolpeko was also charged under Part 1 of Art. 222 ("Illegal purchase, storage and transportation of ammunition") of the Criminal Code.
We add that after the murder Tomilin and Tolpeko continued to serve in the ranks of the Interior Ministry. And Vitaly even played for the hockey team of the Internal Affairs Directorate in the Southern District of Moscow. After the police confessed to the murder, they were fired from law enforcement.
After the detention, Tolpeko week refused to admit where he had hidden the corpse. Tomilin shifted the blame on his colleague, claiming that he forced him to become an accomplice.
