Professional burnout syndrome: how not to burn at work
This period is called the foundation of the coming problem.
A person is completely immersed in work, and his family, leisure and friends are pushed into the background.
Such an employee seeks to become the best and achieve professional heights. If such enthusiasm is poorly paid, then emotional combustion occurs. There are problems with sleep, anxiety and constant fatigue.
At the first stage, a person loses interest in work, there is no longer that joy from a fulfilled plan, and colleagues are beginning to annoy. The employee is more often late, takes sick-lists, envies successful colleagues. I want to close and not see anyone and not hear. Everybody is annoyed: both relatives and employees. This stage can last 2-4 years.
Symptoms include a growing separation from communication with family, colleagues and especially customers.Even if you previously could communicate with a buyer on distant topics and be friendly, now there comes a period of nervous breakdown and release of accumulated emotions. The week seems like an eternity. On Friday, tumble down and see a pillow and fall asleep. Depressive symptoms appear: apathy, feeling of inferiority, and frequent depressed mood.
During this period, resentment is formed at all, complete apathy towards work and life, depressive tendencies. Somatic diseases are associated with mental disorders:
- Frequent headaches;
- sleep and cardiovascular disorders.
Weak individuals at this point easily sit down on alcohol, drugs, computer games and other addictions.
Indifference accompanies a person not only to work, to close people, but also to his life. No interest in living. There is a disorientation. Empty glance and monotonous body movements of the same type characterize complete despair. To restore the personality will require tremendous work on yourself together with your doctor.
