Recall that the head patrol ship of the project 22160 "Vasily Bykov" (serial number 161) was built at the Zelenodolsk Plant named after A.M. Gorky ”in Zelenodolsk for the Russian Navy under a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense dated April 11, 2014, although in fact it was laid at this enterprise on February 26, 2014. Project 22160 was developed by JSC Northern Design Bureau (St. Petersburg).
"Vasily Bykov" was launched from the shed of the Zelenodolsk plant in June 2017 and launched without special publicity on August 28, 2017. On November 8, 2017, the ship was towed to the shipyard "Zaliv" in Kerch (being from the end of 2014 under the control of the Zelenodolsk plant named after AM Gorky) for the completion and re-staffing. Upon completion, on March 25, 2018, the ship was towed from Kerch to Novorossiysk for subsequent passage of factory running and State tests. According to the contract, the ship was scheduled for delivery in 2017, but the deadline was not met, and apparently, "Vasily Bykov" will be handed over to the Navy by the end of 2018.
JSC Zelenodolsk Plant named after A.M. Gorky "also signed on October 9, 2014 a contract with the Ministry of Defense of Russia for the construction of five serial patrol ships of the project 22160 with factory numbers 162, 163, 164, 165 and 166,which are currently laid at the Zelenodolsk plant and all are in different stages of construction. At the same time, the construction of the ships "Pavel Derzhavin" and "Sergey Kotov" is carried out on the stocks at the factory "Zaliv" in Kerch. The contract deadline for the delivery of ships with serial numbers 162, 163 and 164 is 2018, with serial numbers 165 and 166 - 2019.
