According to the head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federation Council, Konstantin Kosachev, Russia received a proposal from Japan to hold a joint meeting of the Council of Governors. Pre is expected that the meeting will be held May 13-14 next year, but this date may change. “We received from the Japanese side a proposal to hold the first meeting of the Council of Governors in Russia,” he confirmed.
Also, according to Kosachev, the timing of two more joint events is currently being coordinated in Japan, which is why dates may change. But, in any case, there is confidence that all meetings will be held next spring. At the same time, Konstantin said that Russia and Japan have many joint and cross-interests, the discussion of which promises to be very productive.“The ideas of the cross years are being implemented fully and with great interest from the business community and the public in both countries,” he said.
