The 68th battery was built in the 30s of the last century and was part of the 54th separate anti-aircraft artillery division. The battery was equipped with four 76-mm 3-K anti-aircraft guns of the 1931 type (Lender 9-K anti-aircraft guns are erroneously indicated on the Internet). On October 27, 1941, the battery met the first German air raid. After occupying the German Crimea, the battery was dismantled and transported to Taman. In November 1943, the remains of the fortifications of the 68th battery and the bunker standing on a nearby mountain occupied the Soviet landing force during the Kerch-Eltigen landing operation. Now only the ruins of the anti-aircraft battery remained, the control point of the 54th separate anti-aircraft artillery battalion on the neighboring mountain is more or less complete.
