What is extradition?
The concept of "extradition" can literally be translated as "issuance, transfer from the outside." The word comes from "ex" and "traditio". The meaning of a concept can be defined in a legal and legal context. This is one of the most common forms of cooperation between states and governments. It is used in the fight against hiding criminals.
- What is extradition? It consists of the initial arrest and subsequent transfer to one state by another of certain persons who may be accused or suspected of committing crimes (or - convicted by the judicial authorities of the given state). Extradition is carried out by prior agreement of the parties and at the request of one of the states.
- Interestingly, in the US, a similar concept is used when transferring criminals or defendants from one state to another.
